La populaire actrice Émilie Martel (elle-même animatrice à la télé) joue le rôle d'une technicienne de télévision qui aimerait mieux se retrouver devant que derrière la caméra. Ses interruptions perturbent le très imbu Fred (joué par l'excellent Marcel Boulianne), qui anime le plus sérieusement du monde une émission très cocasse.
