http://www.nma.tv/kim-jongil-funeral-takes-place-pyongyang/ North Koreans braced icy conditions and lined the snow covered streets of Pyongyang on Wednesday, the first of two days of remembrance events for late 'Dear Leader' Kim Jong-il. Kim died of heart failure on December 17 after having ruled the nation since his father Kim Il-sung's death in 1994. He was aged 69. The funeral is also set to serve as a vehicle for the succession of Kim's chosen heir, youngest son Kim Jong-un, who is set to become the third generation of his family to lead the reclusive, nuclear armed state. DPRK's state media has dubbed the 29-year-old as the state's "great successor," "supreme leader" and "sagacious leader".
