November 17, 2010 - Seoul (South Korea) (CERES TV News / Reuters) -- Christmas is still a month away, but a family of penguins is helping boost the holiday spirit in South Korea. Children welcomed the penguins dressed in Christmas costumes as they waddled down a decorated holiday avenue in an amusement park an hour outside of Seoul. "We're here with children to welcome Christmas with penguin friends in Santa and Rudolph outfits," said the Everland's zoo trainer Park Mee-hwa. The children were thrilled to see the penguins. "It reminds me of Christmas and they are very pretty and cute," said seven-year-old Lim Yoo-Jin. "It's so exciting to see penguins in Santa outfits," added Lee Do-Eun, also seven. The penguins were not available to comment personally on how they enjoyed the parade. They are set to welcome park visitors everyday until Christmas with a mini-parade. Christmas is a major holiday in South Korea, home to one of Asia's largest Christian populations. © 2010 CERES TV News [more info at]: http://www.cerestv.com [e-mail]:
