Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari arrives in the hometown of his wife and former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, to observe the fourth anniversary of her assassination.
He placed flowers and rose pedals on her grave.
He later sat beside the grave and prayed.
The charismatic opposition leader was assassinated on December 27, in 2007 in a gun and suicide bomb attack in Rawalpindi.
Zardari is expected to address a rally Tuesday where hundreds of workers belonging to Bhutto's Pakistan People's Party are expected to converge on her tomb to pay homage to the popular leader.
