Heading to the hospital in Homs.
The area has become the center of Syria's resistance movement against President Bashar al-Assad. Out of the 5,000 who died in nine months of anti-government protests, many were in Homs.
Amateur video obtained by Reuters out of Syria shows an ambulance arriving at a hospital.
Inside the hospital doctors treat the wounded.
SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) UNIDENTIFIED FIELD HOSPITAL DOCTOR, SPEAKING OVER IMAGE SHOWING MAN WITH BROKEN FOOT, SAYING:
''He was wounded in the area of Al Qusour this afternoon at 3PM with an exploding bullet, which led to his toe being cut off, and a broken foot which we are preparing to put in a cast.''
Others focus on the needy. They are providing blankets and heaters.
Some hand out money.
And they are collecting names of those who have died, those who have been wounded, and those who need help.
On Thursday, Arab League observers are expected to arrive in the country. Journalists, who have been mainly banned from the country, will also be allowed in as part of the delegation.
