We begin today with news about about an explosion at a cement plant quarry in the Mainland. The death toll from the explosion-triggered landslide has risen to four, with three men still missing.
The accident occurred on Saturday evening, when quarriers at the Yanchang cement plant in Changshun County, Guizhou Province, were blasting rock from a hillside. Nine workers were buried in the blast.
Three men were dug out before rescue teams arrived. Two of the men suffered minor injuries, and the third man died on the way to the hospital.
Three men have not yet been found.
