Next our Russian correspondents take us to a Moscow university where they have a great way of bringing together students from different countries It's actually a festival where participants share their different cultures.

Heavy on the traditional, and light on the contemporary – this is the fundamental basis for this inspiring student festival "Young Continent."

Israel, Korea, UK, New Zealand and Russia are among the countries presenting their culture.

The purpose of the festival is to help students from different countries get to know each other.

[Alexander Danilov, Organizing Committee Representative]:
"This kind of competition is held in every region, but I know that our university provides one of the best art festivals for students from different nationalities."

Here we have fiery Caucasian dances, Cossack dancing, Russian folk songs and a traditional costumes show - all the best from their respective cultures.

[Festival Participants From Britain And Russia]:
"We have traditional costumes: long shirts, aprons, hats, belts, shirts for men, which were sewn by our students of the Faculty of Applied Arts. They have been recreated from ancient samples."

The warlike Haka dance is originally from New Zealand.

[Festival Participants From Britain And New Zealand]:
"We chose dance Haka, because it is the most traditional, most famous dance of New Zealand."

Here we see the students embracing each others cultures – the British are singing a Russian song "Katyusha."

The festival has been held in the Moscow University named after Kosygin for several years, and has become a celebrated annual event.

This year it happens to coincide with Student Day.
