STORY: The air was festive at the White House on Friday (November 25) as First Lady Michelle Obama, along with daughters Sasha and Malia, watched the official White House Christmas Tree arrive by horse-drawn carriage.
The carriage, carrying the 19-foot (5.8 m) balsam fir, pulled up in front of the White House to the music of the popular carol "O Christmas Tree."
The first lady and her daughters walked down the steps of the North Portico to get their first look at the tree, which traveled across the country from Wisconsin. Even Bo, the first family dog seemed excited as he inspected the tree.
The tree will be displayed throughout the holiday season in the Blue Room of the White House -- a tradition since 1966.
