A helicopter crashed in Auckland while installing a Christmas tree on Wednesday (November 23).
The helicopter, using a cable to erect a ladder, was hovering just above the ground when the accident happened.
Although the incident took place in a heavily populated area, they were no serious injuries reported on the ground. The pilot escaped without serious injuries and managed to walk away from the scene.
The helicopter remains tangled in a tower.
The Christmas tree, sponsored by Telecom , was scheduled to have its lights lit on December 2.
