Flood waters strike a factory some 46 kilometers outside of Bangkok
The industrial zone is is made up of more than 270 plants and employs some 270,000 workers.
So far, high waters have forced the closure of at least five industrial estates in Thailand.
The government ordered an evacuation of the area.
One man just gave up after trying to stem the tide.
SOUNDBITE: Unidentified worker, saying: (Thai):
"I gave up. I did my best to helped build sandbag wall. But, when they say it (the breakwater) collapsed, I feel exhausted and decide to leave."
Officials say at least 300 Japanese companies have been affected by flooding in Thailand.
Thailand is a major production and export hub for car makers including Toyota, Isuzu, General Motors and Ford.
Most of the car companies are located in Thailand's eastern seaboard, away from the flooded areas.
Flooding in Thailand has killed 297 people since late July and caused about $3 billion in damage. A third of the country is under water but officials are confident low-lying Bangkok will be spared.
