It has been a little while but Eugene McGuinness is back. Currently touring as part of Miles Kane’s band, Eugene explains the following about Lion: "I really don't know what to say about this one. It's just meant to be the biggest 'fuck off' my soul could muster."

The accompanying video, shot by Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern (The Fall, Elbow, Arctic Monkeys) sees a suited and booted Eugene flanked by a surreal troupe of dancers in the crumbling industrial wasteland of his native Essex suburbs and captures the intriguing contrasts of his songwriting - equal parts stark and playful; as of the arthouse as it is the public house - perfectly.
