Ideas for Earrings - Beading - as part of the expert series by GeoBeats. These are some examples of some fun, finished, beaded earrings that I have made. This type of earring is fun, and we used pastel beads here, and hearts, but you can totally make it fun and brighten it up, use different shapes, put in a star, put in flowers, and this is just one example of these fun earrings you can make and wear. Teens usually will go on this area. For adults you would probably want to use something more like gemstones, something a little dressier. And definitely pick smaller beads, because they have to go around the hoop. This is, I just call it the stick earring. I guess there should be a fancier term. And this is also for teens or tweens. The design has some flowers at the end and some striped beads and some little rhinestone beads. These are all made with plastic again, for being light. If there was an adult version they would probably do something a little more dressy on this also, like gemstones, or even like a hand painted bead. You can get really fancy with this design. I have had some one put the elephant at the end here, even an animal, or even dangle a charm at the end of the thing, at the end of the earring post. You can get really creative with something with this design. But like this one I made uneven, but I used the colors coordinating. Not everything has to match. Also they will use...On this one you cannot have a hole on the end of the bead that is too big cause then it will fall through the post, so I always have to advise them to pick a small bead at the end. Now these are examples of kids' earrings and they are really fun and colorful and you could also make something like this for adults. Here is and example of something that I have made: this is made with all vintage Lucite. And Lucite is really light. I really love to use vintage Lucite and vintage glass. I feel like the design becomes a little more unique and one of a kind. And this has little hoops that hold the ring onto this vintage colorful bead here.
