http://www.FTV.com/videos NEW YORK - FashionTV is backstage at the Custo Barcelona show. Custo Barcelona is presenting 80 looks for Spring/Summer 2012 for men and women at New York Fashion Week. Custo Dalmau, head designer, describes the work behind this season's line. The collection is titled Tripolar because there are three different ideas involved. One of them is the graphic world that is part of our DNA, developed in a three-dimensional technique so that when you look at particular dresses through UV glasses, you will see them in 3-D. Others are duality looks which work on both men and women. The third look is kaleidoscope, that is sewing and working patchwork and micro-geometrical pieces in order to achieve the graphical world. While Custo won't present his audience with UV glasses, each outfit sold will come with UV glasses so the buyer can enjoy them in their own home. One model excited about the glamorous attire she's wearing is Oona Chanel. "I'm wearing a runway piece," she says, "It's not for production." Oona, from Finland, is a friend of Custo and has been modeling since the age of 3. Meghan, who is also walking, is in her first fashion show for Fashion Week ever.
