The Philippines' second typhoon in a week has made a bad situation even worse.
This is Calumpit town in Bulacan province, one of two rice-producing regions submerged in chest-deep water since Friday.
Typhoon Nalgae dumped up to 25 millimetres of rain an hour in some places.

SOUNDBITE: Marites Pilapil, resident, saying (Filipino):
"Me and my companions here can't work or do anything to make a living. If there's anyone willing to help, we need food."
At least one person was killed when the second typhoon hit.
The first big storm on Tuesday has claimed at least 52 lives. More than 30 people are still missing.
The Philippines weather bureau is warning of another storm developing in the Pacific.
That could reach the north of the country late next week.
