Today I made baked kale chips. Delicious!
They're one of my favorite snacks and they're very healthy. Kale is loaded with nutrients and antioxidants. It's one of those great green leafy cruciferous vegetables that is so protective of your liver and your whole body.
Baked Kale Chips Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 bunch of kale
- 1 tsp olive oil or coconut oil or sesame oil
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp nutritional yeast
Rip the leaves of the kale off the stem. The stem is tough and will not be as crispy and crunchy as the kale leaves.
Put in a big bowl and add oil, soy sauce and nutritional yeast. Mix with your hands (then lick your fingers when you're all done - yum!)
Spread the leaves out on a cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes. If not totally crispy and done you can bake a little longer or leave in the oven while it cools down and they'll get dehydrated(they should be nice n crisp with no moisture in them.
You can add all kinds of great spices as well to your liking - chili flakes, turmeric, garlic, ginger, any kind of spices you like - try a bunch of different kinds and see what works best for you!
