The family of the Michael Jackson leaves court as the first day of the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray drew to a close.
Murray, Jackson's doctor at the time of his death, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter.
The first day of the trial of Jackson's doctor ended on Tuesday (September 27) with members of the Jackson family leaving Los Angeles Superior Court after hearing opening arguments from the prosecution..
Jackson's parents, Katherine and Joe, along with siblings La Toya, Janet and Tito left after a gruelling day in which graphic photographs of Jackson on a hospital trolley were presented.
The court also heard testimony from Kenny Ortega, the director of the "This Is It" concert series that the singer was preparing for.
Murray denies involuntary manslaughter of Jackson on June 25, 2009 but admits giving the 50-year-old pop star a dose of the powerful anesthetic propofol as a sleep aid.
He faces a prison sentence of up to four years if convicted.
The trial is expected to last four to six weeks.
