On September 11th, 2001. I was a fourth grader at Fern Hill Elementary School. I have spent the past decade growing up with the repercussions of the September 11th Attacks. Looking back I am not only stunned by the magnitude of lives that were lost on that day, but more so by the endurance that the American people had displayed in response to such a horrible event.To honor the 10th Anniversary of the September 11th Attacks, I returned to Fern Hill Elementary to speak with those that had put their fears second to my safety and the safety of my peers. With the help of Superintendent of the West Chester Area School District, Dr. Jim Scanlon, I was able to do so. All the teachers and administrators had been interviewed voluntarily.
