In this video, Sevenish Law answers the question: Are bicycle accidents always caused by drivers? No, but most are caused by other drivers in a variety of motor vehicles. Many times drivers don’t see bicyclists. In other instances, accidents occur in which the bicyclist just made a bad decision. Other causes of bicycle accidents include defective bicycles and parts, badly built or maintained roads, poor repair jobs on bicycles, foolish attacks by ongoing passengers in motor vehicles, attacks by dogs and many others. In all of these cases, the injured bicyclist has the right to at minimum file an insurance claim against the party responsible or, if necessary, to file a lawsuit against them.
