A mass vigil on the steps of Georgia's capitol.
These are supporters of Troy Davis, a convicted murderer who is scheduled to be executed Wednesday.
He's set to die by lethal injection at 7 pm local time in the southeastern U.S. state.
He was convicted of the 1989 killing of police officer Mark Macphail near a Burger King in Savannah, Georgia.
Davis' execution has been delayed three times by courts, but this time the Georgia board of appeals denied his request.
The case has attracted international attention, and has become a focus for death penalty opponents.
The reason -- seven of the nine trial witnesses have since recanted their testimony, and his supporters say he's been falsely tried, and may be innocent.
MacPhail's family says Davis is guilty and should be executed.
With his latest appeal request denied, it is likely that Davis will die tonight just before sunset.
