Dell continues to expand its sustainability practices through programs for energy efficiency, environmental stewardship, and CSR-related initiatives. Its latest Corporate Responsibility Report includes details of an updated energy and environmental strategy, in which energy efficiency replaces carbon neutrality as a company goal. Dell continues to use clean energy for its Texas headquarters, has designed and manufactured more energy efficient laptops, and is lowering the energy consumption of its data centers.
The Gardens for Good contest continues to receive applications from urban farms across America in its Facebook campaign to give away $65,000 dollars for urban farming ideas that produce organic food. Applications are now being accepted at facebook.com/naturespath. The contest, sponsored by Nature’s Path, the maker of organic breakfast foods, and Organic Gardening Magazine, runs until the end of this month.
