Heidelberg’s Sustainability Report for the 2010-2011 financial year focuses on reducing emissions in the printing process. Among its highlights are profiles of companies who were awarded Heidelberg Eco Printing Awards for print shops. Also, two new environmental departments at the company—the ECO Council and the ECO Working Group—are directing projects and processes toward integration with overall company practices. Heidelberg supports print shops in all aspects of ecological printing by supplying technology and products, and consulting services.

The General Mills Foundation has announced a gift of $100,000 to support the American Refugee Committee efforts for famine relief in Somalia.
