Agricultural production is becoming a central concern for northern Sudan. Thirty-six percent of the country's revenues come from oil and with independence for South Sudan scheduled for July 9, money from the "black gold" will start to dry up, as the north loses 75 percent of its current oil plants. But the agricultural sector in northern Sudan has been underdeveloped by the government for many years and farmers are strugging to exploit the land. A natural sound version of an AFPTV report.
