The Equimex Horizontal Slicer HS 1000-1S/SE. The meat is placed on the squares of the positioning belt. It automatically transfers into the slicer where it is gently shaped between the upper and lower belt and transported through an oscillating blade. Because of the high velocity of the blade the slices are very accurate with a smooth surface. The bottom slices leave at the end of the machine, the top slices or trim are discharged on one side. The stand alone control panel is equipped with a PLC and Touchscreen. Through this touchscreen it is easy to change the thickness of the slices even while the system is running. The slice thickness can be controlled by other systems, e.g. a (water)portioner, like DSI, or a (Equimex) weighing system. All Equimex Horizontal Slicers the HS 1000 types can slice at a constant thickness.The HS 1000 types is used to "upgrade" water portioners, like the DSI to a complete 3D system. Equimex was the first to combine waterportioners with horizontal slicers.
