These discourses were bestowed to the girls of Vivekanand College, New Delhi, by mystic master Anandmurti Gurumaa. Suppression of women for centuries has been so much a part of society that it is ingrained in her basic nature to be docile and subservient. By elevating a woman to the status of goddess or devi, she is deprived of being who she actually and rightfully is a complete human being, with wonderful human qualities. In this thought-provoking session with college girls, Gurumaaji encourages them to explore the value of the education they are receiving. She makes them aware that they are in every way equal to their male counterparts and that educating a woman means educating an entire generation.
