Air India pilots are on strike for the ninth day, and passengers are still stranded at airports across the country... wondering when they'll be able to make it to their final destination.

Airline passengers across India continue to suffer as a strike by Air India pilots enters its ninth day on Thursday.

The ticket booking counters of Air India at Mumbai Airport wore a stranded look as the national carrier cancelled multiple flights.

It’s a frustrating time for passengers.

[Bharti Modi, Stranded Passenger]:
"By going on strike it's not a proper way to demand anything from the government. The strike is causing a lot of pain to passengers. This is the time of vacations, so the pilots should end their strike."

Passengers at New Delhi Airport were seen waiting for Air India flights to take off.

[Venkat, Stranded Passenger]:
"At 4 O'clock I got the confirmation from the airport that it is going to fly but because of the strike we are facing this many problems."

The standoff began when more than 660 pilots of the Indian Commercial Pilots Association went on an indefinite strike last Wednesday, demanding better pay… and an investigation into corruption with the airline’s management.
