Shen Yun Performing Arts finished four shows at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts over the weekend. Among the audience was a San José City Councilor, who enjoyed not only the aerobatic leaps and tumbles of Shen Yun's dancers, but also the message interweaved in the show. Here's that report.

"We really pride ourselves on being an international city, but this is a unique experience."

City Councilor Sam Liccardo saw Shen Yun Performing Arts in San Jose over the weekend.

[Sam T. Liccardo, San José City Councilor]:
"I think there is a wonderful moment at the end, with sort of a moment of awakening...It was a very inspiring moment when you could really feel a sense of a passion for freedom, and for the ability to express oneself, in a way that you don't often see in a performance. It was a really beautiful moment."

He appreciated the skill of Shen Yun dancers.

"I'm a big fan of the acrobatic dancing. I've always been an action film guy, so I really appreciate the extraordinary dancing and the athletic, ability of so many of these dancers."
