North Korea says traces of radioactive iodine and cesium have been detected in Pyongyang and a few other areas in the country.

North's state-run KRT showed a program with a weather expert reporting the radioactive material from Japan's crippled nuclear plant may have blown to its territory.

The deputy chief of North Korea's central weather research institute says the detected amount is not harmful to humans.
