Gossip Girl star, Ed Westwick, hit the red carpet at London's Westfield shopping centre for the world premiere of his new movie Chalet Girl.

Hundreds of teenage girl fans filled the venue, some were carrying banners and had written the actor's name across their faces.

The film centres around Westwick's character, who falls for his chalet girl. When asked if he had ever had a holiday romance, Westwick said: "I think everyone's had those when you went on holiday with your parents and then you'd meet someone on the dance floor at the teen disco.

"There was probably a couple of those while I was on holiday as a kid."

Chalet Girl is due to be released in UK cinemas from March 16.
