And over the weekend Shen Yun had a two show run in Buffalo, New York Saturday. At the end, of the show, audience members gave the performers a standing ovation. Here's more from our correspondents.
Shen Yun Performing Arts impressed audience members at Shea's Performing Center in Buffalo, New York.
[Charles Peszynsky, Artist]:
"The skill of the performers, the grace, the precision of the dancers. And of course adding in the soloists, and the young lady who played the erhu, it was just unbelievable."
Cathy Skora has been studying, teaching, and performing dance for more than 15 years. She says Shen Yun brings forth the potential in the human spirit.
[Cathy Skora, Artistic Director]:
"It's like looking at something beautiful in nature that just makes you speechless, that just makes you want to cry."
[Kevin Lovullo, Radio Host]:
"It's very calming, very therapeutic, very unique, and you really get in to the entire Chinese or Asian culture."
[Brian Kampel, Pharmacist]:
"The tenor was very rousing, very rousing. And a lot of the music and the songs were very heartfelt."
[Janene Staffone, Dance Teacher]:
"It's about the beauty of the dance. It's not about the person... being able to express who you have been created to be, and give God the glory for what He created. He created the arts and the beauty of it."
One audience member was deep in thought after the show.
[Wendy Kampel, Audience Member]:
"I mean everybody is faced with adversity in their lives at different times and you just have to know at the darkest times that the light is coming and you have to keep going until you get there."
Others say Shen Yun is more than just a show.
[James Austin, Audience Member]:
"I wouldn't say it's a show, I would say it's an experience... and I think it's one of those lifetime experiences that everyone should see if they get a chance."
