A Formula 1 helmet is a very high-tech device and individually designed for every driver. It is made of multiple layers, covered by a carbon shell that evenly spreads any impact pressure. Despite its strength, the helmet is not heavier than about 1.5 Kilograms. An important factor for the driver: to keep the strain on him at a minimum.
