Kings of Leon have postponed a scheduled performance at the London O2 Arena after two of their tour buses caught fire.

Reports suggest that at least sixty firefighters and twelve fire engines were sent to The O2 to tackle the blaze.

A spokeswoman for the London Fire Brigade has described the situation: "Our crews are doing a fantastic job, especially given the levels of smoke down here which has led to quite challenging conditions."

Although the blaze has been brought under control, partly helped by the sprinkler system at The O2, its cause is not yet known. An investigation to determine what started the fire will be carried out in due course.

No damage to The O2 itself has been reported, and the reason for the postponement of the concert has been given by a spokesperson for the venue: "Whilst there is no damage to The O2 there is now insufficient time to rig the arena for tonight's performance. We are sorry for the inconvenience and we will announce a new date shortly."
