Gertrud Kottermaier performs the first movement of Mozart's Sonata in C major, KV 545. The artist is playing a Hammerflügel, built in 1785 by Johann Andreas Stein. The instrument is in Mozart's home in Augsburg, Germany.

I do not recall the circumstances under which I acquired this LP; the disc measures about 6 inches across and may be a demonstration recording -- but it was manufactured in Munich, serial number SRSX 861 110. The back of the jacket is signed by Ms. Kottermaier.
