The King's Speech leads Globe nominations

The King's Speech has gained seven nominations for The Golden Globes 2010.


Leads of the film, Colin Firth and Helena Bonham-Carter, are up for best actor and best actress in a Drama for their portrayal of King George VI and his wife Queen Elizabeth.


The Social Network and Inception also have nominations and these three movies remain hotly tipped to pick up gongs at the Academy Awards as well.


Newly released film Burlesque is nominated in the Comedy or Musical category, as is The Tourist, with leads Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp earning a nomination in the same category for best actress and best actor.


The Golden Globe Awards takes place on January 16th and will be hosted by Ricky Gervais.
