Violinist Henry Thies (1893-1935) led a territory band in Cincinnati about which very little information is available. He recorded for Victor in 1929 and 1930 as "Harry Thies and his Hotel Sinton Orchestra. Jane Frohman was his vocalist and she recorded two songs with the band, "Sharing" and "June Kisses". Thies had previously recorded for Vocalion Records as "Thies' Detroit Ritz Orchestra". Unfortunately problems and personal tragedies led to a depression and his suicide at the age of only 42. This great record was made in 1929, with Don Dewey on vocal.
