Newlywed Katy Perry took centre stage at this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

The singer performed her new single Firework to the crowd, swiftly followed by Akon who serenaded the models as they walked down the catwalk.

Akon explained there were perks to performing at the event. The singer said: "Well you know I get to get backstage and see them change into the nude, you know, so that's a really treat."

Lots of celebrities attended the evening, including heiress Paris Hilton who said: "I love lingerie and diamonds, and they have the most beautiful pieces of lingerie as well as jewellery, so I always come to watch that.

"And there is always a great performance. So many amazing artists performed throughout the years" she added.

Supermodels Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Chanel Iman and dozens of others walked the catwalk in the brand's sexy lingerie and an array of dazzling outfits.
