The latest Call of Duty video game has been given a star-studded premiere at London's Battersea Power Station.

Call of Duty: Black Ops is the latest title in the hugely successful first-person-shooter video game series from publishers Activision.

With unprecedented interest and a record-breaking number of pre-orders, the game is set to net the gaming giants over £1 billion gross.

The Call of Duty gaming franchise has attracted criticism in the past for its vivid depiction of modern warfare and occasionally shocking gameplay. Call of Duty: Black Ops is no different, immersing the player in an intense global tour of armed combat.

The makers of the game are open and unapologetic about its adult content. "We don't sugar-coat things", they said, "It's an 18-rated game, and war is pretty ugly, but we never, ever just threw anything in for shock value."
