Rey De La Torre (1917-1994) performs the "Six Variations on a Theme of Luis Milán," composed in 1945 by Joaquín Nin-Culmell (1908-2004). I created this video from the LP (depicted in the video above), "Recital - Rey De La Torre, Classic Guitarist," released on the Epic label, serial number BC 1151, in 1962. Images in this video are from the LP and the LP jacket, except for the images of Nin-Culmell and the 1962 Billboard magazine advertisement for this LP. De La Torre premiered this opus in New York on November 10, 1947.
