Six children and two giant panda bears, Ying Ying and Le Le celebrate their fifth birthday in Ocean Park in Hong Kong.

Children sang the birthday song and an icy birthday cake with red apples, carrots and ice cream was served.

Since their arrival to the park three years ago, the two pandas have been enjoying good health.

Ocean park employees are hoping to welcome panda babies in the coming year.

They have made effort to take good care of the pandas and provide them an ideal environment.

[Dr. Allan Zeman, Chairman, Ocean Park]:
“The most important thing is pandas have space that they feel comfortable. This facility, if there is a baby, will really make the panda, i believe the new baby, feel very very comfortable.”

The pandas enjoy their lives at the park and have a very close relationship with their keepers.

[Elke Wu, Panda Keeper]:
“They love us, all the panda keepers, they can recognize our smells and voices, they are not too good with their eyes, their eye-sight, but they have very good smelling and hearing, so they recognize our voices and smells very well.”

The pandas playing with ice and on the rocks are a great attraction for tourists.
