Indu Thampi was crowned the winner of this year's Miss Kerala 2010 beauty pageant.

Thampi also took the title of Miss Sensuous and Miss Beautiful Eyes.

“I am seriously very happy to represent Kerala. This is my dream come true, it's all I can say right now.”

So what does the future hold for Miss Kerala?

“I am going to help people to come out like, I told you in my direction, there are many people, many women who are backward. I am going to ask them to come forward, believe in themselves because they can do a lot more, if they really believe."

All the contestants are of Indian origin but some traveled from Malaysia, Australia and Dubai to participate in the pageant.

The Miss Kerala contest was started in 1999.
