Iran is denying reports that an attempt's been made on President Ahmadinejad's life. A news website had reported that a hand grenade was detonated as his convoy was travelling to the Hamadan province, which is a couple of hundred kilometres west of Tehran.
The online story said Ahmadinejad wasn't injured and that the blast happened a hundred metres from the president's car. But state TV is saying no such attack took place, with confusion being cause by an exploding firework.
