Vladimir Klitschko has criticised David Haye for pulling out of a title bout as he admitted there was no fight on the agenda.

Vladimir, the younger of heavyweight boxing's dominant Klitschko siblings holds the WBO, IBF and IBO belts, Vitali his brother is the WBC champion and Britain's David Haye holds the WBA title.

The two Klitschkos will not fight each other, which means a possible showdown with Haye is what most boxing fans, not to mention broadcasters, are hoping for.

Klitschko was speaking at Frankfurt's Commerzbank arena, the venue where he will fight hard-hitting Nigerian Samuel Peter in September, after original opponent Alexander Povetkin pulled out.

Referring to Haye, Klitschko said: "It's not about the money and the business, it's about pride (for him). But I think he owes it to the fans."

Despite the unlikely prospects of a bout against Haye, there is still a clear desire from Klitschko. "I am ready to fight against David Haye anywhere in this world," he said. "He just needs to make the next step. Sign the contract, get in the ring and get the fight."
