The new series of Britain's Next Top Model has started and one of the first girls to be kicked out the house was plus-size model Simone Clark.

The show has a brand new panel of judges this year, amongst them fashion designer Julien MacDonald who said it would be a "joke" if a girl bigger than a size six or eight won the contest.

Simone though was not fazed by the judges' decision, or at being branded a plus-size model, despite being an average UK size 12.

The Yorkshire lass said: "I'm totally happy, healthy and comfortable in my own skin. It does not bother me being called a plus size model. I am a lucky girl to be a model. I absolutely love doing it".
