Cheryl Cole has been ordered to rest after being diagnosed with severe exhaustion.

The popstar and X Factor judge apparently collpased at a photo shoot and a doctor was rushed out to take a look at her.

Her publicist confirmed she would be taking a break on Twitter.

Supersonic PR tweeted: "Following doctor's advice Cheryl Cole will be cancelling all work commitments for the next week."

It means she will miss the Manchester round of X Factor auditions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger has already been confirmed as the guest judge, standing in for absent mum-to-be, Dannii Minogue.
