Robbie Williams' fiance, Ayda Field, has become a World Cup widow, so has decided to take a break while the global event takes place.

Robbie is apparently obsessed with the World Cup, and it is alleged that the American actress has had enough of his constant football talk.

According to The Sun newspaper, Ayda has decided to escape from the singer, and stay with her mother instead.

When Robbie first started dating the 31-year-old he was managing a team in Los Angeles called LA Vale - named after Port Vale. But Robbie dissolved the team because it took up too much of his time.

The singer is very open about his love for the sport. He even helps to organise the annual celebrity event, Soccer Aid, which helps to raise money for the children's charity UNICEF.
