Top stock picks continued to move higher most of last week, despite the fact that the major market indexes are below their 200-day moving averages. In fact, this "split-personality" market has seen many leading stocks break out, or form explosive double-bottom chart patterns, indicating that they might want to move higher soon. Now, June and July are not the best trading months, and this remains a highly news-driven market--given the European debt situation, weak job growth, etc.-- and it may be the market is waiting to see what affect these might have on earnings during July's earnings season, but, as I said, a lot of market-leading stocks do not seem to want to wait until then, so if you're a seasonsed trader who is fast on your feet, this is the time to be following them.
