Chairperson of National Advisory Council Sonia Gandhi is on a 3 day tour to her Parliamentary constituency Raebareli to review and initiate various welfare schemes.
Congress President on Monday started the visit by inaugurating the newly constructed building of a sub-post office in Sareni block. Later, she paid a surprise visit to Behta kala gaon, where she heard the problems of locals by holding a chaupal.
Locals expressed grief over the lack of electricity and educational schemes in the region to which Sonia Gandhi responded saying that the Central Government is bringing out the best of welfare schemes but the state government fails to implement them.
Moving on , she launched BSNL's Wi-max services at Dalmau and then headed towards Rampur barara in Unchahar vidhansabha where she heard the demands of local people who urged her to look into the matter of a railway barricade that causes traffic disruption. She took note of the problem and promised an action.
