Kylie Minogue has reportedly turned down Simon Cowell's offer to appear on the X Factor whilst sister Dannii is on maternity leave.

At the launch of her album Aphrodite, the singer said: "I was asked to do it, but there were two main reasons why I said no.

"One was I had my album coming out. And two, because it's Dannii's thing. I would be stepping on her territory and it would get too messy".

Meanwhile the pint-sized pop star, who is dating Spanish model, Andrés Velencoso has commented on how kissing him hurts her neck as she has to crane it to speak to him.

Kylie is expected to spend the next few months launching her new dance album.
