Parents of murdered schoolboy Jimmy Mizen will hold a "service of peace" two years after he was killed.

The Prince of Wales is due to attend the Build a Legacy of Peace event in honour of the teenager.

Representatives of high-profile murder victims, Ben Kinsella, Rob Knox, Damilola Taylor and others will attend the service at Westminster Cathedral.

Jimmy was attacked and killed the day after his 16th birthday while trying to avoid a fight near his home in Lee, south east London.

His killer Jake Fahri was jailed for life for murder.

Following the service Prince Charles will attend a reception with the families of young victims of gun and knife crime.

Jimmy's parents will join TV presenter Ben Shephard and Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe in launching a series of personal safety films produced by Kids Taskforce.

The films are based on real life stories and it is hoped they will generate discussion amongst youngsters.
