Alexandra Burke has revealed Cheryl Cole is "doing absolutely fine" following her split from her footballer husband Ashley.

Alex has remained close to Cheryl after she mentored her on The X Factor in 2008 and the 21-year-old popstar said the Girls Aloud star "is a fighter."

The Bad Boys singer also revealed she will be touring in 2011 and hopes to release the dates soon.

It has been a whirlwind year since she won her recording contract and Alex, who has got a new single out next month called All Night Long, tries to keep her feet on the ground as much as possible.

She said: "I am a bit of a nutcase at times... but I guess you just go with the flow. I am a happy person so I stay happy all the time, I try my best to."
