US comedienne Chelsea Handler has thrown a party to celebrate the launch of her new book Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang.

When describing the book's contents, Chelsea said: "It's really self-deprecating. It's all about me and my life. I like to really make fun of who I am."

Aside from being a comedienne, Chelsea has her own chat show on the entertainment channel E! called Chelsea Lately.

Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang is Handler's third book and debuted at number one on the New York Times bestsellers list.

Her other two books are currently holding places two and three in the paperback chart.

Celebrities who attended Chelsea's party included Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jason Biggs and Spice Girl Mel B who said "I love Chelsea Lately. I think she's totally inappropriate. She's absolutely hilarious. And she's hot."
